TIME: 2pm - 5pm
PLACE: Nourish'd Obs - 186 Lower Main Rd. Observatory
Everyone dreams of having the perfect birth. For me, it was meant to be a divine experience of otherworldly bliss and connection as my child entered effortlessly into the world through a warm pool of water in the safety and comfort of my family home.
But alas, life had other plans and I ended up having a different (and somewhat traumatic) birthing experience as little miss Marion-Mae chose to enter in another way. Since then I have been consciously working to release everything I am still holding from this experience, to fully celebrate the miracle of life that lies so perfectly before me.
And so, in an effort to support myself, and the many mothers I know who have undergone a similar birthing experience I have partnered with my incredible Doula Gayle Friedman to offer mothers a space to share, heal, release and nurture themselves into a wholesome and happy relationship with themselves and their children once more.
We will sit together in a warm coloured, safe space supported by light, sound and aroma to share feelings, experiences and unravel emotions that may have become tangled.
We will then embark upon a mandala art process to express and acknowledge the wounds we have experienced, before finishing with a sacred ritual of release so that we may all move forward as lighter, brighter beings.
The ritual sharing will be followed by canape's and nourishing drinks to ground and centre ourselves before we move back into life.
- Babies are welcome! We will have a trained caretaker there to look after them.
- There will be a security guard present at all times!
- The event will be limited to 15PAX to keep the afternoon intimate.
