8 Dec: Nourishing Herbal Infusions Workshop

TIME: 4pm - 6.30pm.

LOCATION: Nourish'd Observatory, 186 Lower Main Rd. Observatory

Join us for a Sunday afternoon of learning how to make nourishing herbal infusions. Most of our health problems are connected to a lack of nutrients due to our changing diets, stress, digestive issues, as well as the way we grow food.

In this workshop, you will learn how to make infusions (herbal decoctions) that are affordable, safe and that provide a powerhouse of proteins, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and micronutrients that are easily absorbed by the body.

This workshop is for everyone and requires no existing experience. We will look at a variety of different herbs for different conditions as well as enjoying a selection of infusions made the night before.

Annette is an embodiment guide, storyteller and lover of all things natural and rewilding. She is on a mission to reconnect us with our bodies and the Earth and was recently initiated as a green witch, by world-renowned herbalist, Susun Weed in Woodstock, New York.

She is a student in the ancient tradition of Earth-based spirituality and is looking to share her knowledge on how to nourish the body, the Wise Woman Way.

The Wise Woman Way focuses on holistic healing, seeing the person as a composite of stories rather than a set of symptoms and seeks not to cure, eliminate or cleanse but rather nourish our already healthy, holy selves.

"We are all healers in the Wise Woman tradition. Self-healing and self-loving, we co-create healing with our allies. Our allies are our problems; they bring us gifts of wholeness. Our allies are green allies, wild plants; they supply us with optimum nourishment.” - Susun Weed
