Nourish'd is a plant-based, zero waste cafe and juicery. Our fairy founder Tash put her passion for the planet into action and established Nourish'd in 2017. She transformed her dad's old garage into a bite-sized juicery that is now one of Cape Town's most popular café's. We make delicious vegetarian and vegan juices, smoothies, sandwiches, and more! Our mission is to prove delicious food and successful eateries can be kind to both the human and earth body. We believe food and eco-education are keys to creating harmony on our blue-green home. At Nourish'd, we make every effort to provide healthy plant-based food with a focus on sustainability and ethicallity. Ultimately, we'd like to see the whole world move to a plant-based, waste-free lifestyle. We'll keep serving luscious foodie goods until we get there.
Animal agriculture is the leading contributor to deforestation worldwide. Meat production is also one of the cruellest, most inhumane industries on the planet. We simply will not support this kind of cruelty. Although we serve milk and some dairy products they are ethically sourced from free-roaming cows who receive oodles of love.
Everything at Nourish'd is created with the health of your body and the earth in mind. We choose organic produce sourced directly from local farmers whenever possible. Our food is made strictly natural ingredients with no preservatives or flavourings. We also limit the amount of oil, sugar, and wheat we use in the recipes. Whole-food, plant-based eating is the way to go.
When we first started Nourish'd, we couldn't sleep soundly knowing our little tree was shedding its plastic leaves into the ocean. Fuelled by compassion, knowledge, and determination, we transformed our cafe into a tree of life. We are incredible proud of the sustainable packaging initiatives we have in place and also put effort into sourcing local produce and reducing our carbon footprint whenever possible.
If something seems too good to be true, it probably is. Someone or something is paying the price. We make every effort to always make ethical choices. We take everything into consideration when choosing the producers we source from, practitioners we collaborate with, and products we stock. Everything we do is for the highest good of all beings everywhere.
